- Result cum Merit list of the applicant candidates of DNB Centralized Entrance Test-Super specialty (DNB CET-SS) conducted by NBE in November 2016 has been declared.
- Candidates can access their result at NBE website www.natboard.edu.in, DNB CET-SS website http://www.cetss.natboard.edu.in/ and also at Notice Board at Ansari Nagar Office of NBE, New Delhi.
- Tie of merit position shall be resolved at the time of counseling uponverification of original documents of the candidates as per the criteria mentioned in the Information Bulletin.
- Candidature is purely provisional subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria as mentioned in the DNB CET-SS Information Bulletin and verification of the original documents at the time of Centralized Merit Based Counseling conducted by NBE.
- In case, any candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, his/her name shall be automatically taken off from the merit list. The schedule for Centralized merit based counseling shall be published separately by NBE.
- The merit list for Medical Genetics shall be published separately in due course.
National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test – Super Specialty (NEET-SS)
The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for entrance to DM/MCh in terms of Section 10 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 as amended in 2016 shall be conducted by the National Board of Examinations.
The examination shall be held at various cities on 10th June 2017. The examination shall be held as a Computer Based Test and shall comprise of 200 Multiple Choice Questions from the MD/MS curriculum followed at medical colleges in India duly prescribed /adopted by Medical Council of India with prior approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
NEET-SS is a single window entrance examination for entry to DM/MCh/PDCC courses. No other examination either at state level or institutional level entrance examination conducted by any University /medical colleges /institutions shall be valid as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 with effect from 2017 admission session.
Scope of Examination: NEET-SS 2017 shall be a single eligibility cum entrance examination namely ‘National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Super Specialty Courses’ for the academic session 2017 which shall include the following:
i. DM/MCh/PDCC courses at all Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities across the country
ii. DM/MCh/PDCC courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
AIIMS, New Delhi /PGIMER, Chandigarh/ SRICHITRA, Thiruvanathapuram /NIMHANS, Bengaluru /JIPMER, Puducherry are institutions not covered by NEET-SS.
National Board of Examinations is an autonomous organization established by Government of India in 1982 with prime objective of conducting post graduate examinations on all India basis.
National Board of Examinations also conducted the NEET-PG for MD/MS/PG Diploma admissions in 2013, 2017; NEET MDS 2017 and All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE) during the period 2014 – 2016.

NEET-SS shall be conducted in all specialties for which the corresponding MD/MS/DNB degree is eligible for pursuing Super specialty courses in the country. A candidate can appear for the NEET-SS in one discipline of eligible entry level qualification.
The exam shall be conducted on CBT platform. The duration of the test shall be 2½ hours. The question paper shall consist of 200 MCQs with single correct response. There will be a separate question paper for all the specialties.
